Rejoice! For the King is Born!

Rejoice, O Mary

For good news I bring,

Good news, from God on high!

Rejoice, be happy

For comes a King.

Good news – Salvation is nigh!

Sing praise, O Joseph

For good news is here,

Good news of a baby boy!

Sing praise, be glad,

Redemption's near -

Sin He will destroy.

Bless God, O Simeon

For the Light breaks in:

The Consolation of Israel is born.

Bless God for His sign,

Atonement He brings

Turning darkness to glorious dawn.

Bear witness, O Anna,

Give thanks to the Lord

For the promise of God is complete.

Bear witness, rejoice,

For He is God's Word:

Death He has come to defeat.

So, come all you people,

Sing praise to the King!

Sing all the ends of the earth.

Rejoice and be glad;

Your praises - come bring,

Through Him you can have new birth.

All glory, all honour to God on high!

Rejoice with the angels, come sing!

Holy, holy, holy is His Majesty -

Worthy of the praises we bring.

A Promise

A great promise to the world is born,
A promise for every nation,
For fallen man in all his sin –
A promise of salvation.

Seed of Abraham, Son of Man,
Son of David – King.
Born of a virgin in Bethlehem.
Salvation He will bring.

Root of Jesse, Light to all,
“His banner over me is love!”
Redemption for iniquity,
Salvation from above.

Lion of Judah, Bread of Life,
A sceptre in His hand.
Ruler over all the world
Salvation for every land.

O come, Immanuel – God’s King,
Oh come to crush our sin.
Come, enter into every heart –
Salvation for Your kin.

Prince of Peace, Almighty God;
Everlasting Father,
Name above all other names.
Come, all Your people gather.
Sing great praise to the Lord,
Master o’er creation,
One who freely pardons sin,
One who gives salvation

Based on Psalm 104

We praise God for creation:

His clothing is His light.

He laid the earth’s foundations.

He made both day and night.

We bless God for creation:

We bless Him in our soul,

For He gives in abundance -

He makes the empty, whole.

We see God in creation:

His power, omniscience, love.

Leviathan in the oceans,

The birds in sky above

We hear God in creation:

The mighty thunders roar.

The fastest flowing rivers,

Earth shaking at its core.

We feel God in creation:

The wind upon our face,

The showers of many blessings,

The sunshine of His grace.

We taste God in creation:

His bread gives strength to all,

Wine to bring us gladness,

Grace sweetens bitter gall.

We smell God in creation:

Scent of the dew of morn,

The fragrance of the flowers,

The smell of day’s new dawn.

So, come our souls to bless Him,

Jehovah Jireh gives.

Our souls should sing His praises,

As long as we shall live.
