Coming to Pray (Hymn, altd.)

Your kingly sceptre in Your hand
Bidding Your people "Come!
Present Your prayers before My throne,
Through My Eternal Son."

We come into Your chamber, Lord,
With boldness as we pray.
Petitions brought before your throne:
You hear them night and day.

Your ear inclined to those You love,
To those You call Christ's Bride.
A love so tender and so deep -
To win Her, He had died.

Christ takes our weakest, mumbled words,
Removing all the weeds:
Presenting prayers, a sweet bouquet.
For us, He intercedes.

You kiss us with Your richest grace.
Blessings and love abound.
Only eternal joy and peace
In Jesus Christ are found.
