We Come to the Saviour

We come to the Saviour
Just as we are,
We can bring Him nothing
We are empty jars.
He shows us His mercy,
He gives us His grace.
Beholding His beauty -
We gaze on His face.

We come to the Saviour
Who gives us a crown,
We come to Him naked -
He gives us a gown.
We come to Him broken,
New heart He gives
Dead in our sins,
But He makes us live.

We come to the Saviour
Who shows us deep love.
We come to Him fallen,
He raises us up.
We sit with the princes
On His holy hill.
We come to the One,
Who thinks good, not ill!

We come to the Saviour
Who gives water of life.
We come to the Bridegroom,
The Church is His wife.
We come to the One
Who's preparing our place -
Our wonderful Jesus
Full of glorious grace.

We come to the Saviour
Who's seated above,
Who prays for His people,
Whose wounds show His love.
We come through the one
Who feels as we do.
He washes and cleanses
And makes us anew!

Why do you tarry
Dear sinner, O why?
His people are blessèd,
Apples of His eye.
His thoughts are not evil
Towards those whom He saves.
He came to redeem and
Make free Satan's slaves.

So come to this Saviour,
He will give you life,
Peace in your heart,
No more ungodly strife.
Come as you are -
Forgiveness abounds.
In Him, kindess, mercy,
Love and grace are found.
