When Jesus Hung at Calvary - Not for the Colour

When Jesus hung at Calvary,
He hung there for our sin.
It was for broken, contrite hearts,
Not for the colour of our skin.

When Jesus hung at Calvary,
We wonder and ask, "Why?"
It was for us to be redeemed,
Not for the colour of our eyes.

When Jesus hung at Calvary,
We ask, "Why was He there?"
It was for our eternal good,
Not for the colour of our hair.

When Jesus hung at Calvary,
We wonder, "Why was He alone?"
It was for our acceptance,
Not for our vocal tone.

When Jesus hung at Calvary,
He didn't look at outward traits.
He died to save a people,
Changing hearts to peace, from hate.
