Sacrifice to the gods

From My Notes in Facebook
Sacrifice to the gods
CAROLYN ABI'EL DAVISON·SUNDAY, 8 DECEMBER 2019·READING TIME: 1 MINUTE
5 reads
I was heartbroken today in prayer,
Because children are a blessing;
A gift of almighty God
Sent to bring joy and happiness.
But instead of counting them joy,
A hindrance they've become,
A bane upon the mother's life
And ripped out of her womb!
I was heartbroken today in prayer
As I thought of their tiny lives,
Conceived in sin and iniquity
But created in the image of God.
They had no chance at least -
Instead they were chopped up,
As if meat for a feast!
Broken tiny bodies, dismembered
Not given a chance to learn,
Forgotten, not remembered!
Broken tiny pieces, half father's
Half mother's!
No chance to see the dawn,
No sisters and no brothers!
Or perhaps their siblings were thrown
Into a kidney dish,
Broken, bruised, dismembered,
This would not have been their wish!
Molech, Dagon, Ashtoreth,
They may not look the same,
But in the 21st century,
Abortion's just another name,
For sacrificing children to the
Gods of self and sin.
Destruction of tiny babies
Destruction of your kin!
