Mary holds her tiny baby Underneath her finite arms: With her love and care, protects Him, Safely keeping Him from harm.
Weak and helpless, tiny baby,
Comforted on Mary’s breast:
Full of peace and reassurance,
Falls asleep in calming rest.
Mary kisses tiny baby,
On the cheeks of El Shaddai.
Arms of love to comfort, calm Him.
Songs of joy, sweet lullaby.

Look! We see the manger empty,
Saviour now on Calvary’s road.
To the cross He climbs Golgotha -
For to bear sin’s awful load.
Saviour now on Calvary’s road.
To the cross He climbs Golgotha -
For to bear sin’s awful load.
See the nails holding our Saviour
Outstretched are infinite arms.
In His love He dies for sinners -
Keeping them from hellish harm.
Outstretched are infinite arms.
In His love He dies for sinners -
Keeping them from hellish harm.
Weak and bleeding, dying Saviour,
All alone - no comfort there.
Wrath of God is poured upon Him -
For our sins, which He doth bear.
All alone - no comfort there.
Wrath of God is poured upon Him -
For our sins, which He doth bear.
Father turns away from His Son!
El Shaddai bears mortal sin.
Close to death He is forsaken.
For His people’s souls to win.
El Shaddai bears mortal sin.
Close to death He is forsaken.
For His people’s souls to win.
Look! we see the tomb is empty!
Death is dead - it reigns no more!
Jesus, Saviour, now ascended -
Intercedes forever more!
Death is dead - it reigns no more!
Jesus, Saviour, now ascended -
Intercedes forever more!
