Shout for Joy - Christmas 2019 poem

Shout for joy, O Bethlehem,
For the Redeemer King is born!
Sing His praises, declare His Name
On this glorious morn.

Shout for joy, O weary ones,
The Son of Man has come.
His Deity He's laid aside,
To make this world His home.

Shout for joy, O Gentile folk,
His Kingdom is for you.
He opens up the door of grace
That many may go through.

Shout for joy, O lowly men,
For the King will raise you high,
To sit upon His heavenly throne.
Forever He is nigh.

Shout for joy, O you weak,
For the LORD God is your strength.
He leads and guides through all your days -
A smoking flax He will not quench.

Shout for joy, O Jerusalem,
For here the Saviour dies.
Death and hell are conquered.
In three days the LORD will rise.

Shout for joy, O sinner,
For Jesus is THE way
To gain eternal life and love
And peace with God each day.

Shout for joy, O people:
The King of kings now reigns!
His Kingdom spreads across the world,
His glory never wanes!
