This can be sung to the tune Kingsfold (copyright not mine)
I looked and saw the baby small
Lying in a stable bare.
His head was resting on the straw
No royal robes to wear.
The stench rose up and touched his nose;
It was likened to our sin!
The baby came to die for us;
He is the King of kings!
The shepherds sat in fields at night
With darkness all around!
The silence broke; with heavenly song,
The angels' joyful sound.
The darkness of the world will break
For the Light of Salvation's come!
The Saviour of the world is here
To take His children home!
The wise men came from lands afar
Bearing presents for the King!
They brought gold and frankincense and myrrh:
The future, they did bring!
The Heavenly Babe, the Morning Star,
To a darkened world, brings light!
Accept the Saviour as your own:
He dispels the inward night!
